The purpose of this module is to present a discussion about drawings and pictures being a primary method of communicating the unspeakable with children. 
Course Objective
This program provides clinicians with the opportunity to learn about:
Picture therapy for children experiencing the trauma of death
Using child’s imagination to heal trauma
Sensory aspects of trauma expressed in pictures

Intended Audience
Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, Addiction Therapists

CATHY MALCHIODI, LPCC Cathy Malchiodi is a Licensed Art Therapist and Registered Expressive Arts Therapist with over 20 years’ experience and holds additional credentials in clinical counseling and cognitive-behavioral therapy.She is the Director of the Institute for the Arts and Health, and is the editor of Art Therapy:  Journal of the American Art Therapy Association.  She is an internationally recognized expert in the areas of art therapy, arts medicine, and arts in healthcare, and is particularly well known for her work as an art therapist with survivors of violent crimes, abused children, and people with cancer, HIV, or other life-threatening illnesses.
